Greek lemon potatoes are one of those dishes that instantly tastes like sunshine: crispy, lemony, warm – and thanks to good olive oil, bursting with character. This simple Mediterranean recipe is perfect for winter days, goes with almost anything, and brings a taste of Greece to your table with minimal effort.

Ingredients

 

For the lemon potatoes

• 1.2 kg firm-cooking potatoes, cut into wedges

• 4 tbsp Sarmakinas olive oil

• Juice of 1–1.5 lemons

• Zest of 1 organic lemon

• 3–4 cloves of garlic, finely grated

• 1 tsp dried oregano

• 1 tsp coarse sea salt

• Black pepper

 

Lemon yogurt dip

• 200 g Greek yogurt

• 1 tsp lemon zest

• 1 tsp lemon juice

• 1 tsp Sarmakinas olive oil

• 3–4 mint leaves, finely chopped

• Salt

 

Preparation

Make preparations
Preheat the oven to 200°C (top and bottom heat) . Wash the potatoes and cut them into wedges of equal size.

Mix the marinade
Mix Sarmakinas olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Add the potatoes and mix thoroughly until everything is evenly coated and glossy.

Into the oven
Place the potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for 45–55 minutes , until they are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Tip: Drizzle with a little extra Sarmakina's olive oil during the last 10 minutes – for golden edges.

Prepare the dip
Mix together yogurt, lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, mint, and a pinch of salt. Refrigerate until the potatoes are ready.

Serve
Arrange the Greek lemon potatoes on a plate, sprinkle with lemon zest, and drizzle with olive oil. Serve with lemon yogurt dip.
