Baked Feta with Lemon, Chili & Mint

Baked feta is one of those dishes that delivers maximum flavor with minimal effort. Warm, salty, lemony – and with good olive oil, it becomes a true Mediterranean highlight. Perfect as an appetizer, for sharing, or simply for yourself.

Ingredients

• 1 block feta (approx. 200 g)

• 3 tbsp Sarmakinas Olive Oil

• Zest of ½ lemon

• 1 tsp lemon juice

• ½ red chili, finely chopped (no rings)

• 4–5 mint leaves, finely sliced

• Freshly ground black pepper

• Coarse sea salt

 

Preparation

Preheat oven
Preheat oven to 200 °C.

Prepare feta
Place feta in a small oven-safe dish. Sprinkle with lemon zest, chili, and a little pepper.

Bake
Bake the feta in the oven for about 10–12 minutes, until soft and lightly browned.

Finish
Remove from the oven, drizzle with lemon juice, top with mint, and finish generously with Sarmakinas Olive Oil.

 

Serve with

• Toasted white bread

• Pita or flatbread

• Fresh cucumbers or tomatoes

• A glass of white wine
