Nestled between rolling hills, Mediterranean sunshine, and a fresh breeze lies the origin of our olive oil: our groves . Here, our olive trees grow at a natural pace – far removed from the industrial pace.
Our trees carry history
Our groves consist exclusively of trees that already have a history . Many are over 40 years old—most are considerably older. Our oldest are over 200 years old. We purchase these trees to preserve them, not replace them. They represent lived time in the form of wood, roots, and branches.
If there is space, we plant new trees – but never at the expense of the old ones.
Biodiversity with responsibility
We allow grasses, wild herbs, and flowers to grow between the trees, creating a diverse ecosystem. But as soon as summer arrives and the heat rises, we have to clear the land – in a controlled and targeted manner.
The danger of forest fires is real , and we don't want our grove to burn. It's a balancing act between natural space and conservation. And we tackle it anew every year – with respect.
