Sarmakinas at the 20th Mindful Women’s Circle at Volksgarten Club Vienna
At wellness events, many reach for alcohol-free cocktails, expecting enjoyment without effect. With us, they received two centiliters of olive oil and freshly squeezed lemon in a Lobmeyr Alpha glass – and a face that briefly contorted. For us, that was precisely the moment we had been waiting for.
On Thursday, we celebrated the 20th Mindful Women's Circle at the Volksgarten Club Vienna. No advertising, no brochures – just a glass, two ingredients, and a point of view.
What is the Mindful Women's Circle?
The Mindful Women's Circle is a monthly format by founder Shadi Pouyazadeh: a network for women that connects mindfulness, empowerment, and business. The anniversary edition at Volksgarten Club combined welcome drinks, a keynote, sound healing, and networking – rituals for the mind, body, and connection.
The keynote speaker of the evening was Dr. med. Mahtab Saidi-Zecha, offering a holistic view of health and beauty. Around: Tanqueray 0.0 % and Schweppes as alcohol-free welcome drinks, SOTH Catering, GHD as a styling corner, Golden Mirror with instant photos, Tarot and Birth-Chart Readings in the Spiritual Corner, and Sound Healing by Crystalsoundsvienna. Our program item: the olive oil tasting in Lobmeyr glass.

Why an olive oil shot at a wellness event?
At wellness events, much is discussed about health – but rarely eaten or drunk. That's precisely where we wanted to start.
According to EFSA, olive oil polyphenols contribute to protecting blood lipids from oxidative stress. This is not a wellness claim, but an approved, scientifically verified statement. A circle that champions mindfulness and health is exactly the right place for an oil that not only claims but proves this.
"If it burns in your throat, you know it's still alive."

What was in the glass
The Golden Shot: two centiliters of Sarmakinas olive oil, two centiliters of freshly squeezed lemon juice, served in a Lobmeyr Alpha glass. Pure, without detours.
Behind it is our single-variety Koroneiki from our own cultivation in Messinia – PDO Kalamata certified, high polyphenol content, low acidity, twice in a row among the NYIOOC Top 100 worldwide. The pungency and bitterness, which surprised many at first, is no coincidence:
• It shows an early harvested, untreated character.
• It stands for polyphenols instead of filtering.
• It is proof that nothing here has been smoothed over.
What this means for us
A circle that brings together women who want to live mindfully and empower each other has no need for another sweet welcome drink. It needs something that is honest – even if it challenges rather than pleases at first.
That's exactly what our oil is. That's exactly what the Golden Shot was.

Conclusion
The 20th Mindful Women's Circle was an evening of rituals, encounters, and mindfulness – and we were able to contribute our part with a sip of olive oil. No grand promise, no slogan. Just two centiliters of oil, two centiliters of lemon, and the conviction that true health cannot be told, but must be tasted.
From the tree to your kitchen – and, that evening, straight into the glass.
